To a Video Poet
Have I been with you this long?  Jn 14:9
Only Jesus’ words weigh enough
to breathe in, look off camera,
mute the room, and then breathe out
syllables, so dear, they float on breeze,
soap bubbles in rainbow skin.
Even He found speaking aloud frustrating.
